Another Excellent Year

As we are about to celebrate our third anniversary in 2014, we've accomplished some significant milestones in our second year. During this year, we've done the following:

¥ Signed and began performing our largest contract to date - providing consumables and robotics analysis for NASA's International Space Station
¥ Increased our client list by over 30%
¥ Increased our staffing by 60%
¥ Significantly improved our infrastructure by adding both health insurance and a 401(k) plan to our suite of employee benefits
¥ Continued to expand our staffing for our Canadian energy contracts
¥ Provided business and proposal development support to both new and repeat clients
¥ Continued our business approach of focusing on performing high quality work for outstanding clients and ensuring we have fun doing the work of our choosing while building our client base and resume

We look forward to continuing to grow and perform quality work in the coming year!

Kevin Rubright joins vericon

We are pleased to welcome Kevin Rubright to VeriCon! Kevin’s 30+ years of project management, construction management, and consulting on large, complex projects in the private heavy-industrial sector, hydro power, and nuclear industry provides a wealth of very diverse experience to VeriCon. As a graduate in civil/structural engineering, Kevin will continue to combine his technical background with his many years of experience managing complex, often very unique, industrial projects to provide support to a variety of clients in the energy industry. He will also assist with expansion of VeriCon business in the areas of his expertise.

Aaron Tullos Joins vericon

We are pleased to announce that Aaron Tullos has recently joined Vericon! With a degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Tennessee, a private pilot’s license and a background in logistics, Aaron is a valuable resource performing consumables management for our International Space Station Mission And Program Integration Contract.

Traci Charles joins Vericon

We are pleased to announce that Traci Charles has recently joined Vericon! Traci has approximately 10 years of experience in human spaceflight including programming Space Shuttle simulations and being a robotics flight controller. Traci has joined our International Space Station (ISS) Mission And Program Integration contract performing robotics analysis and assessments. We look forward to having her skills and abilities help us perform critical ISS tasks and deepen our technical capabilities.

2012 has been a good year for us

Looking at the numbers for 2012...our goal for this year was to double the amount of work we performed in 2011. We did almost 5.25x what we did last year! We also more than doubled our client list. Oh, and we also had a great time doing so! Thanks to our employees for their hard work and our clients for their support...

We were informed this week that the Barrios Team (of which we are a teammate) won the International Space Station Mission and Program Integration (MAPI) contract after the GAO denied the protest of award from our primary competitor. This will be our largest contract to date and should start early next year. We continue to grow and diversify!

Erica Mays joins Vericon

We are pleased to announce that Erica Mays has joined VeriCon! Erica has over ten years experience performing project controls tasks for large, multi-project programs. She will be providing support to a large oil and gas firm to whom we provide technical services. Erica’s diversity in performing all kinds of project controls tasks – resource management, earned value management, risk management, configuration management, etc. – ensures she can adapt her skills to solve any technical problems coming her way. We welcome Erica and are excited about our future opportunities as she utilizes her skills.

Kevin Rowe Joins Vericon

We are pleased to welcome Kevin Rowe as a new addition to VeriCon! Kevin’s experience encompasses both an initial 16-year career managing upgrade projects in the Nuclear Industry and a follow-on 15-year career in Oil & Gas, Mining & Metals, and Public Transportation. In the near term, Kevin is going to perform a bit of work we are finalizing supporting a large oil and gas firm in Canada. (Yes, VeriCon is going international...) Kevin brings a wealth of project management experience to us and we are excited about the prospects of expanding our business in the areas of Kevin’s expertise.

We just signed a contract with a new client who is pursuing a large government contract. Can’t go into much detail, but we are really excited to have another client on our books and more work for the future!

Our first national capital region contract
